STRONG START TO THE FOAL SEASON

Top bid: €18,500,- quality sells, even in a challenging market

The first foal auction of 2025 has been successfully completed. Last Wednesday, the virtual doors opened and bids from both domestic and international buyers quickly started pouring in. Thousands of interested buyers visited the collection, resulting in a vibrant auction week with international appeal and many foals sold.

With an average selling price of €7,343 and the majority of foals successfully sold, founders Alwin Scholten and Niels Mulder look back with both satisfaction and confidence.

"In a time when the market is under pressure worldwide, it's even more impressive to see how enthusiastic buyers continue to be," the duo states. "It confirms that quality always stands out, and that breeders who consign with us are truly appreciated."

"Our team carefully compiles the collection, focusing on sport-oriented conformation, proven bloodlines and genetic potential. Young stallions also get their chance with us. By now, we regularly see foals that were sold with us years ago competing at a high level. That’s what drives us."

Top sellers of this edition: proven bloodlines in demand

The most notable foals were highly sought-after, particularly due to their athletic pedigree and overall presence:

• Horatio Rising Z (Conrad de Hus x Kassander van ’t Roosakker) topped the list with a final bid of €18,500. He remains in the Netherlands and carries the genetic power of his granddam, the 1.60m mare Colibelle Hero Z.

• Vayanni E.C. (Aganix du Seigneur x Chacco Blue) found her new owner in Germany for €15,500. She is a granddaughter of Kadess (1.55m).

• Cersei AWN Z (Cumano x Vigo d’Arsouilles), with strong sport bloodlines on both sides, was sold for €15,000 to Stal Ushuaia Horses in Belgium. They purchased the filly together with sponsor LUX Sparkling.

• Vaiana Z.G. (Ermitage Kalone x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve) was sold for €10,500 and is heading to Switzerland.
