FUTURE PERSPECTIVE HELD FOR DUTCH SPORT

Oct 3, 2022

Our sixth auction ended on Saturday evening. The high-quality collection consisted of 32 jumping foals for the future, as well as nine exclusive embryos. There were plenty of bids on the collection, from all over the world. However, the most expensive foal and embryo remain in the Netherlands!

Eye-catcher Usain Bolt A.S. Z

The striking Usain Bolt A.S. Z was the most expensive foal sold. This stallion comes from the first official crop of Nations Cup and Grand Prix winner Utamaro d'Ecaussines, who achieved top performances with Joe Clee. Dam Golinda TH left no doubts about her jumping talent in the mare test and scored a total score of 83.5 points with nines for reflexes, technique and scope. For an amount of €12,500, this eye-catcher will remain in the Netherlands.

Lots of interest in the embryos

There was a lot of interest in the very interestingly bred embryos. Here too, the most expensive embryo remained in the Netherlands. It concerns an embryo of Grandorado TN N.O.P. out of Chanette (by Chacco Blue). As a half sister of the Grand Prix stallion Balou du Reventon (by Cornet Obolensky), top progenitor Balou du Rouet (by Baloubet du Rouet) under Brian Moggre and a full sister of the Grand Prix stallion Chatinue, who is Classified at 1.60m level with Darragh Kenny, dam Chanette is of exceptional pedigree. The virtual hammer struck at a bid of €15,000.

USA

The embryo of Chacco Blue from Rosetta (by Di Cantero van ter Hulst Z) was sold to the USA for €13,000. In the third generation, she goes directly back to the international sport and broodmare Narcotique de Muze IV, who performed up to 1.50m level with Johan Philippaerts and built up an unprecedented legacy.

Congratulations to buyers and sellers

We look back with satisfaction at the sixth auction of this year. “It is fantastic that interest from abroad continues to increase. Yet we are also very pleased that future potential is preserved for Dutch sport and breeding. We are grateful that we can put together such a beautiful collection every time and that we have the confidence of the buyers, but certainly also of the breeders! The average price this time was €7,000 and 95% of the foals have been sold. As before, this is a very nice result. We would like to congratulate everyone on their sale and purchase and are already looking forward to the next auction.”
