CHACCO-BLUE AND CASALL OFFSPRING SOLD FOR €29,000
Dec 8, 2024
We attracted strong international interest once again during our final auction of 2024. With a sales percentage of over 90% and an average price of €13,500, the year ended successfully. "In a challenging market, we continue to focus on offering horses of the highest quality at realistic prices," say founders Alwin and Niels. "The fact that buyers from around the world are finding us underlines the confidence in our approach. This gives us the energy to keep growing in 2025." Buyers from Europe and beyond secured exclusive genetics and promising sport horses.
Highest Bids for Horses from Proven Performance Lines
Two horses stood out during the auction. Charly v’t Rietkamp Z (Chacco-Blue x Elvis ter Putte) sold for €29,000 and will soon be heading to Portugal. This top stallion combines the influential Chacco-Blue with the famous Narcotique de Muze IV line. The same amount was paid for Ophelia van de Nachtegaal (Casall x Coriano), who is moving to the United Kingdom. As a full sister to Jur Vrieling's Grand Prix horse Zypern III, she embodies both quality and potential.
Other horses from strong lines also proved convincing internationally. Rollercoaster (Verdi TN x Corland), a half-brother to World Cup jumper Freedom, sold for €23,000 and will soon be heading to Spain. The gelding Rigoletto (Cornet Obolensky x Zirocco Blue VDL), with Olympic top stallions and the proven Loma line in his pedigree, was purchased for €19,500 by a Turkish buyer.
Keeping Talent in the Netherlands
Not all horses will be leaving the Netherlands. Roloma Star EBH (All Star 5 x Citizen Kane), from the half-sister of Grand Prix horses Alfa Jordan and Katia, will stay in the country for €19,000. River Queen GP (Conthargos x Quick Star) will begin her career in Spain for €16,000. This descendant of a half-sister to international top horses Daria Z and Four Seasons promises a bright future in the jumping sport.
Special Embryo Draws Attention
In addition to the young horses, a unique embryo caught the attention of breeders. An implanted embryo (Akarad Hero x Zamite), from the mother of the 1.60m jumper Chades of Blue, sold for €12,500 to a buyer in Belgium.
Embryos like this are becoming increasingly popular among buyers looking to enrich their breeding programs with genetically valuable combinations. The success of this embryo confirms the growing demand for exclusive breeding products at Paardenveilingonline.
