The highly impressive Comthago VDL, ridden by Hessel Hoekstra, won the Grand Prix of Ommen and the silver medal at the Dutch Championships last year, finished sixth in this year’s Grand Prix of Rotterdam, and made his debut in Aachen. Comthago VDL has also made a strong start as a breeding stallion, with his oldest offspring now breaking through at 1.40/1.45m-level at just seven years of age. Dam Mariloma scored 8s for canter and reflexes in the mare test. Granddam Isiloma is a half-sister to the international showjumpers Doraindo (s.Indorado), who finished second in the 1.55/1.60m GP of Thermal with Kaitlin Campbell, and the 1.50m-level horse Zippo (s.Indoctro), ridden by Ernesto Canseco, as well as the 1.45m-level performer Jumanji.
