In the pedigree of Upper Class, the 1.40m mare Chanel is combined with the ten-year-old Holsteiner stallion Comthago VDL, with whom Hessel Hoekstra made a fantastic 1.60m debut this year. Their highlights already include a win in the 1.55m Grand Prix of Ommen and a silver medal at the Dutch National Championships. Expectations are high for both sport and breeding. Dam Chanel has already produced the 1.35m horse VDL Ironic (s.Carrera VDL), who competes in the States, and granddam Prestige herself jumped at 1.30m level. She can also be found in the second generation behind the international 1.40m level horse Cuba-Libre (s.Carolus II). From this direct damline also originates Tikita (s.Corland), who was ranked at the highest level and ridden by Eric Flameng.
