ABOUT
Emerald van 't Ruytershof needs little introduction. With Harrie Smolders, the son of Diamant de Semilly won the 1.60m Grand Prix at the CSI5*-W in Bordeaux and that of Chantilly and was second overall in the 2016 World Cup Final. He is a BWP ambassador. His dam Carthina Z (s.Carthago) is rated at 1.45m. Daughter Saphire is entered in the studbook, passed her EPTM and holds the predicates prok and D-OC.
Dam D-Cosma is a Holsteiner mare by the 1.60m stallion Corrado I from Stamm 18A2 and has produced eight offspring. The family includes the approved stallions Linaro (s.Landgraf I) and the 1.50m horse Carambo van de Helle (s.Carolus I), both sons of fourth dam Tamara. Tamara's daughter Fiona VI, Staatsprämie, produced the 1.60m horse Teutonia MCF (s.Coriano) of Hans Thorben Ruder and is the granddam of Cassidy 35 (s.Cassini I), also 1.60m.
Saphire is in foal to Don Quidam (s.Donthargos), an NRPS-approved KWPN stallion born in 2021 out of a dam by Quidam de Revel. D-Cosma already had a daughter by him in 2025, V-Donqui.
