ABOUT
This talented Raissa van de Beekermark is the very first offspring of the mare Menoor – a mare with a truly modern top sport profile. Menoor won the KWPN Championships for six-year-old showjumpers in 2023 and was subsequently sold for an impressive €250,000 in the Dutch Sport Horse Sales. Under Sanna Backlund she has already proven her qualities at international 1.35m level this year. Menoor herself is a granddaughter of the Grand Prix mare Noor, ridden by Carry Huis in ’t Veld, who produced the international 1.45/1.50m horses Dame Blanche and Hypnotic (formerly Tae Bo). Noor is also a half-sister to Yann Candele’s Grand Prix horse Mustique and thus closely related to the 1.45/1.50m jumping stallion Bustique. Sire Comme Il Faut ranks among the very best stallions in the world, being the sire of, among others, Olympic champion Checker 47.
Raissa is a beautiful, generously-framed mare with a very attractive type and modern look. In 2025 she carried a foal, which means she is still a bit green in her training, but this actually makes her even more interesting for both sport and breeding. During our selection she impressed with her jump: quick off the ground, good use of the shoulder, correct technique and plenty of scope. On top of that, she carries an exceptional, high-performance damline that strongly underlines her commercial value. She is saddle broken and ready to be produced further according to the rider’s own wishes. A highly commercial young mare with top pedigree, modern appearance and clear potential for the higher levels of the sport as well as future breeding.
