Dam Vienna de Mauretus Z is a young half-sister to the internationally 1.50/1.55m level competing Karamel de Mauretus Z, one of Michael Whitaker’s promising future horses, and Bolero 111 (s.Chatman) ridden by Darragh Kenny. Granddam Walentina van ’t Merelsnest has also foaled the 1.40m level performer La Luna de Mauretus. This Belgian performance family has already produced standouts such as the Olympic team medalist Sapphire ridden by McLain Ward and Jur Vrieling’s WEG and EC competing stallion Glasgow van ’t Merelsnest, as well as other international 1.50/1.60m level horses like Omano BC and Qarco van ’t Merelsnest. Sire Pegase van ’t Ruytershof lives up to his impressive lineage in both sport and breeding, and is already competing successfully at 1.55m level.
