This Maris Z is a half-brother to the 5* Grand Prix horse Iwalinde (s.Zirocco Blue VDL), who already won two 1.50m and 1.55m classes this year in Vejer de la Frontera with William Fletcher. The national 1.45m-level horse Elektro (s.Douglas), ridden by Arabel McFarland, also comes directly from the same dam as Maris Z. Dam Zwalinde herself competed at 1.35m-level and earned good marks in the mare performance test as a young horse. She is a half-sister to, among others, the international 1.45m-level horse Chaperon. This direct damline also produced the 1.55m-level jumper Venus and the 1.45m-level competing Zangersheide stallion Don Tarpania Z. Sire Mattias is one of Jur Vrieling’s rising stars and has a bright future ahead in sport and breeding.
