On 4 May 2019 VDL Glasgow vh Merelsnest jumped to third place at 1.60m in the Grand Prix of Shanghai under Jur Vrieling. He was clear in the jump-off, and that was worth € 91,500. Seven weeks later he was second in the Nations Cup of Geesteren at the same height. In Rome he contested the Grand Prix at 1.65m, where he finished twelfth, and in the Nations Cup of that show he was third at 1.60m. He is the sire of the dam, so those results sit in the maternal line.

One step closer stands the uncle Caro W. He went double clear at Wellington on 11 May 2025 for second place in the Grand Prix at 1.50m. Jad Dana rode him at 1.60m in 2024. The great-uncle Prestige van het Kluizebos finished fourth under Pieter Devos in the Grand Prix of Wuustwezel at 1.45m on 30 June 2024, again with a clear jump-off. A year earlier he won two 1.40m classes at Opglabbeek.

The dam Galatea BSH Z was born in 2023 and Dragonfly van het Hulshof is her first foal. The sire Diarado has produced forty-four offspring at 1.60m.
