In the pedigree of Ultive AVA, we find two 1.35m jumping mares in the first two generations. Granddam Olve is a half-sister of the international Grand Prix horse Real Eagle (s.Burggraaf) of Robert Puck. Through Julio Mariner xx, this line traces back to the Jasper daughter Dalve. She can be found in the damline of a series of international showjumpers, including the successful Tripple X III (s.Namelus R) and Don Porfirio (s.Indoctro), who both competed in the Olympic Games. The sire is the ten-year-old Holsteiner stallion Comthago VDL, with whom Hessel Hoekstra made a fantastic 1.60m debut this year. Their highlights include the victory in the 1.55m Grand Prix of Ommen and a silver medal at the Dutch National Championships.
