Sire Comthago VDL is one of the top talents of Marlon Zanotelli and it seems that this Comme Il Faut son is heading a great future in both sport and breeding. Spencer was bred out of the mare Evita, who passed the mare test with an 8.5 for reflexes and is a half-sister of the eight-year-old international 1.40m showjumper Jabora (s.Canabis Z) ridden by Lysa Doerr. Granddam Tia Maria also foaled the six-year-old 1.35m level horse Lareyna (s.Etoulon VDL) and is a half-sister of the 1.40m horse Verdi (s.Karandasj) herself. This damline goes back to an allround Westphalian damline and from this direct part also originates the 1.60m level showjumper Cornet 36 (s.Cornet Obolensky), with whom Daisuku Fukushima took part in the WEG and Olympic Games.
