Like his famous brother Bacardi VDL, the Olympic stallion Apardi seems to inherit his jumping qualities to a large extent. Sid S was bred out of the mare Gesina, who scored 77.5 points in the IBOP. Granddam Chelsinaa has proven herself up to 1.40m level in the sport and in the third generation this line leads back to Tersina, who is a half-sister of the 1.45m jumping horse Rocco (s.Fuego du Prelet) and is listed as the granddam of international 1.50m horse Hamlet Cooper (s.Casall) ridden by Alexandre Fontanelle. From this direct part of the Sina line originate the 1.50/1.60m horses MacKinley (s.Goodwill), with whom Mario Stevens participated in the Olympic Games in Athens, Floris TN (s.Quality Time), Baedeker (s.Heartbreaker) and Disinaa (s.Rubert R) as well.
