Future talent Nelanya was bred out of Elanya, who was invited for the National Mare Championship as a three-year-old and subsequently proved herself in the sport at 1.30m level. Granddam Alanya has also performed on this level and is herself a half-sister of the international 1.35m showjumper Best Choise (s.Corland). Then this damline leads back to Uleila, who in turn is a half-sister of the international 1.45m level performing Varano (s.Corland) ridden by Massimo Tonali. Other successful which originate from this small performance family are the 1.40m level jumpers Expensive (s.Campbell VDL) and Stenhaga Cannabiz (s.Campbell VDL). Under James Billington Nelanya’s sire Cohinoor VDL competes at international 1.45m level and he seems to make a mark in breeding.
