This colt comes from the first crop of the excellently bred Chicago Blue VDL, a Chacco-Blue son out of Ben Maher’s European Championship medallist Cella. On the dam’s side, Chireuso van de Meele Z inherits strong genes as well. Via the top sires Thunder van de Zuuthoeve and Toulon, both of whom have offspring that competed at the Olympic Games in Paris, this line traces back to the mare Utareusa. She is renowned as the dam of the Grand Prix stallion Etoulon VDL (s.Toulon) and the 1.45m level horses Dereusa S (s.Numero Uno) and It's A Walk In The Park (s.Numero Uno). Besides, she is noted as the granddam of the 1.45m level competing KWPN approved stallion Defender VDS Z. This Dominator son recently qualified in Ermelo for the World Championships in Lanaken.
